Building a premium website for a brand new product

Stencil’s founder spent more than twenty years as a sound engineer hearing the same request: can we make the speakers disappear, change the colour, put our brand on them? There was never a viable answer, so he built one. We built the website to take it to market.

The brief

Stencil had a first-to-market product and a self-built website that looked self-built. With no category to compare it to and no competitor to benchmark against, the site had to win over event producers, rental houses and loudspeaker manufacturers on its own. We came in as consultants at the start of 2026, while the product was still an idea, and moved to a full build in May. The brief was simple to say and hard to do: make people believe in the product instantly.

The approach

We built a site that carries the product’s ambition, with scroll-driven motion, smooth scrolling and a custom cursor so the whole thing feels like one designed object rather than stacked blocks. At its centre is a 3D cover visualiser. Upload your artwork and watch it wrap around a real speaker model in real time. We got the code running reliably and hosted it live, so an event producer can see their own brand on a PA stack in under a minute. We then gated it behind a three-field form (name, company, email), so the most valuable moment on the site turns curiosity into a named contact.

The result

Six weeks in, the visualiser has brought in a global manufacturer, a major UK supplier and a run of production companies and rental houses, all arriving already interested. The product was always the strong part. Now the first impression matches it.
